E-learning is a part of Distance Learning or Outreach programme of The https://www.iirs.gov.in/ Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. The e-learning courses are designed and developed as self-learning content with a computer-guided system. The learners can take these courses with self-paced and convenience. E-learning is an active learning platform that provides learner-centric online courses of various discipline. It provides a platform where the individual gets a customized package related to key thematic areas, through a computer-guided process.
A key advantage of e-learning is that it has quick delivery cycle than traditional classroom-based instruction. E-learning reduces learning time by at least 25 to 60 percent when compared to traditional learning methods. Also this is an as asynchronous learning method which provides learner anytime anywhere easy access for up-gradation of knowledge and skills. The participants will be getting the certificate from IIRS-ISRO once they successfully complete the programme. It is open for all those who are interested in the Remote Sensing, GIS and GNSS technologies and their applications. Anyone can register for IIRS e-Learning by visiting the site elearning.iirs.gov.in.
KIAAR is attending online IIRS classes (E-learning) since September 19, 2020. Scientists of KIAAR and staff of Godavari Biorefineries Limited (GBL) are being trained using this facility.
